Syncing a Windows Mobile OS-based scanner with a Finale Inventory account may be accomplished over a WiFi connection or a USB-connected docking station. This guide lists the steps to configure your Windows Mobile Scanner to connect to your WiFi network.
Finale Inventory uses a software program called Finale Data Collector that runs on a Windows Mobile OS-based mobile scanner. This Finale Data Collector program runs in a batch data collection mode. You Sync the scanner to update the mobile unit with the latest information about your Finale Inventory account. Then you may disconnect or un-dock the mobile scanner and travel freely in your warehouse to perform numerous inventory management operations. After completing transactions on the scanner you must Sync the handheld unit with your Finale Inventory Account. This will update the cloud with all the transactions you completed on the scanner.
WiFi Syncing is not "Realtime" it is "On Demand" where you stand! You must press the 1. Sync menu option from the Main Menu of the Finale Data Collector Software to update the scanner and to upload the completed transactions on the scanner. If you do not see the 1. Sync option on your scanner, you are not running the latest release of Finale Data Collector. Go Here to see How to update your mobile scanner to the latest version of Finale Data Collector
