Pushing stock for your products to your selling channels is a task that is required to be activated on at the integration level. However, Finale provides you the ability to configure settings on both the global level as well as the product level that will allow you to optimize the quantities available on your various selling channels.
Integration level
Settings configured at the integration level will be applied to all products connected to that channel (leveraging their product lookups), and will serve as the default settings for that product. These default settings can be overridden on the product level though (see next section below).
Where to edit integration level settings:
Hint: The key default quantity options for most customers will be as follows:
- Base quantity = "Remaining after reservations (include BOM)"
- Stock source = Specific locations in Finale that store your sellable inventory (can be left blank to include all locations)
- Include supplier quantity = "No suppliers"
Product level
Defaults for products based on the integration level settings can be overridden on the product level in the Product Detail section displayed below:
Quantity pushed can be configured independently for each product and store combination.
General settings
The fields controlling the quantity listed for a store are:
Base quantity field
This selects the quantity value used as the input for the calculation of the quantity for the store.
- Default for store
- Use the option configured for the store (do not override for a specific product)
- Remaining after reservation
- Uses the total quantity on hand for the product minus the quantity reserved for committed sales. Use this option to only list stock you have at one of your locations that is not already committed to another customer.
- Including BOM - In addition to the quantity described above, the "potential build quantity" for kit/bundle products can be pushed as well (based on inventory location and existing stock reservations)
- Excluding BOM - Ignores "potential build quantity" for kit/bundle products as described above
- Uses the total quantity on hand for the product minus the quantity reserved for committed sales. Use this option to only list stock you have at one of your locations that is not already committed to another customer.
- Available to promise
- Uses the total quantity on hand for the product minus the quantity reserved for committed sales plus the quantity from committed purchase orders. Use this option when your purchase orders arrive quickly and should be listed on the marketplace as soon as they've been marked as committed in Finale (in advance of receiving them).
- Including BOM - In addition to the quantity described above, the "potential build quantity" for kit/bundle products can be pushed as well (based on inventory location and existing stock reservations)

- Quantity on hand
- Uses only the total quantity on hand for the product, while ignoring the quantity reserved for committed sales as well as the quantity from committed purchase orders. This option is only leveraged in specific circumstances and is not recommended for use by most retailers who leverage Finale for inventory management.

- Set to minimum quantity
- Use this option to ignore the stock level in Finale and start with value of minimum quantity field for this store.
- Set to maximum quantity
- Use this option to ignore the stock level in Finale and start with value of maximum quantity field for this store.
Additional settings
Include supplier quantity
This allows including quantities entered in the Supplier quantity available fields for the product to be added to the quantity from the base quantity field. This is the simplest way to include the quantity from a supplier that drop ships or provides quick delivery of stock. This feature is very useful if you're able to leverage the API and received a inventory stock level feed from the supplier.
Quantity percentage
After adding the base quantity and any supplier quantities, the quantity percentage is applied to calculate the quantity for the store. Enter any positive value to represent this percentage. For example, 50 equals 50%. If left blank, the quantity percentage setting assumes 100%.
For more information regarding this feature, see the help article: Configuring "Quantity Percentage" for Pushing Stock Levels
Minimum quantity
After adding the base quantity and any supplier quantities, as well as factoring in quantity percentage, the result is compared to any value entered in the minimum quantity field. If less than the minimum quantity, then the quantity for the store is set to zero. This can function as a type of quantity buffer for specific products or marketplaces.
Maximum quantity
After adding the base quantity and any supplier quantities, as well as factoring in quantity percentage, the result is compared to any value entered in the maximum quantity field for the store. If greater than the maximum quantity, then the quantity for the store is set to the value of the maximum quantity field.
