Overview
Stores manage how products in Finale connect to listings for those products on different sales channels. Companies often list products in Finale on sales channels under different identifiers and post different quantities available. Creating a store in Finale for each sales channel enables Finale to track the identifier or identifiers used in that sales channel and the quantity listed for that sales channel.
Product lookups in Finale track the additional identifiers associated with a product, such as the merchant SKU on an Amazon listing or the barcode on a label. Each product lookup may have zero, one, or several stores associated with it. Once the connection product to product lookup to store has been made, then reports for that store will include that product.
The quantity listed for each product is controlled on a per store basis. Each product has fields for each store to control the base quantity value, whether to include supplier quantities, the minimum quantity to list, and the maximum quantity list.
Once product lookups and the quantity listing configuration is complete, then reports will show the calculated quantity for each product lookup for each store. Although Finale does not yet have direct integration with shopping carts and marketplaces, the reports are available in CSV and can easily be customized to include specific columns and column titles.
Example
Consider a product with product id ABC_123 that is listed at Amazon under two merchant SKUs: AMZNxABC123 for singles and AMZNxABC123x6 for a six pack, and also on Rakuten as seller SKU: RAK-ABC123. Sales for any marketplace are fulfilled from the stock available for product ABC_123.
To track this in Finale create two stores: amazon and rakuten. Create a single product with product ID ABC_123 (do not create a product for each SKU in the different marketplaces). Add 3 product lookups for the product (AMZNxABC123, AMZNxABC123x6, and RAK-ABC123), specifying a packing of 6 for the six pack, and connecting the first two lookups to the store amazon and the last to the store rakuten.
