Case Equivalence is the calculation and conversion of your total number of Units into the equivalent number of Cases.
Finale Inventory supports storing your stock or inventory quantity in Open Stock or Case Stock.
Open stock is what we refer to as "eaches" or individual items/units.
Case stock is where items are stored and tracked as a "packaged" quantity, in a box or carton, that has units on the inside. So a case of soda may be 24 cans in a box. Finale Inventory can store that as 1cs 24/1
Cases have a "Packing" value which is setup on the Product ID in the Std Packing Field.
In the soda example above the standard packing would be 24/1 or 24.
So, if you had 96 cans of soda in stock, stored in the Open Stock column of Finale Inventory, the Case Equivalence would be 4.
