Overview
This step is OPTIONAL - You may proceed to the next step if you are not creating Sales Orders manually inside Finale Inventory or do not need multiple price lists.
If you are using Sales Orders created manually inside of Finale Inventory and you wish to have multiple selling price levels, you can create them by going to Applications Settings > Products and navigating to the section titled Selling Prices:
- You can enter a formula by typing the name into the "Name" column, then clicking on the "add formula" link that will auto-populate in the "Formula" column afterwards
-
The values for the price levels you create may be imported with the rest of your product dat,a or you can create a formula. If you add a formula to a pricing field, it will not show a value on the Product detail page. It will be blank. The price will be viewable when you add an item to a Sales Order and choose that price list.
-
Enter a pricing formula if dynamic price calculation is desired. The Formula box has a drop-down arrow at the far right that allows you access to lookup field values and use them to calculate a price. If you use a Lookup value, you will need to convert the result of the lookup to a number before using the result in a mathematical calculation in the formula
- Example: number(lookup("Database Column Name"')) * 1.5
