If you are having issues copying from Excel and pasting into Finale (see below), there are a few workarounds that I'll outline below. The cause of this problem is from a recent update from Excel that changes how the data is put onto the clipboard. Because of this, when it's pasted into Finale, the format is not correct and it is not being recognized. We are currently working on a long-term solution to this, but for the time being, we've had success using the following temporary workarounds.
** UPDATE**
There appears to be a bug fix for Microsoft Excel for this problem:

Workaround #1
If you're able to, we recommend first trying to do a system recovery to a date several days before the issue started. This has worked for several customers.
Workaround #2
Using Google Sheets, copy the data from Excel and paste it into the Google Sheets page. Then Copy the data from Google Sheets and paste it into Finale. This should change the clipboard formatting enough so Finale can recognize it.
Workaround #3
Using a third program OpenOffice, copy the data from Excel and paste it into the Google Sheets page. Then Copy the data from Google Sheets and paste it into Finale. This should change the clipboard formatting enough so Finale can recognize it.
We understand this issue is affecting your ability to use Finale seamlessly, and we apologize for the inconvenience. Since it is not an issue within Finale, it is taking longer to find a plausible solution. There is hope the next Excel update will fix this, but we are still diligently working to find a solution.
