Finale has the ability to send the Finale Inventory Order ID to ShipStation in a custom field. You can use this custom field as the source for a barcode on the packing slip or display it in the shipping orders view in ShipStation.
Many selling channels, like eBay, send the same order id range for all multiple eBay channels to ShipStation. ShipStation allows duplicate order ids and Finale does not allow duplicate order ids. Finale will append a letter to the end of the order id if it is the same as another order.
This will cause the ORDER ID barcode on your ShipStation packing slip to NOT be the same as the ORDER ID in Finale Inventory.
The solution is to send the Finale Inventory Order ID back to ShipStation in a custom field, and then put that custom field on your packing slip as a barcode.
