How does Finale Inventory do manual Ins and outs?

In and out may be referred to in many ways. Finale Inventory is a perpetual inventory system which means you use transactions to commit changes to the inventory system that either adds to the stock levels or remove from the stock level.

INS

Bringing stock into the warehouse is normally accomplished with a Purchase Order that has a received shipment against it.

When the shipment is received from a supplier against the PO the stock levels are increased.

Another way to bring stock into the warehouse is with a Stock Change, Add transaction.

You can also use a Stocktake transaction to audit, cycle count or set the stock level for an item into the inventory system.

OUTS

Taking stock out of the warehouse is normally accomplished with Sales Order that has a shipped shipment against it.

When you ship a shipment to a customer for a SO the stock level is removed from inventory.

Another way to take stock out of the warehouse is to use a Stock Change, Remove transaction.

You can also use a Stock Take transaction to audit, cycle count or remove stock levels.

There are many screens in Finale Inventory where you access these transactions.

Look to the Inventory menu at the top navigation bar.

You may also use a bulk import from excel to achieve all of the above in mass.

You can also use a mobile barcode scanner with our app.

There is also a tethered USB barcode scanner feature that will allow manual scans into a session that can be converted into the above transactions.
