How to Update the Finale Inventory App on Your Mobile Scanner

If you use a mobile scanner or device or Android emulator to run the Finale Inventory app for barcode scanning you will want to keep that app up to date. We regularly push out updates once a quarter to fix bugs or release new features.

How you update your device depends on the type of device you have and the operating system the device uses.

• If you are using an Android Phone or Android scanner with the Google Play store app on it, you should open the Google Play Store and update or install the app from there.
• If you are using an Android device that runs Google Enterprise, you must manually uninstall the app from the Android settings and then manually download the latest version of the app from the link below.  There are very specific instructions to follow.
• If you using an old Legacy Windows Mobile OS-based scanner you can update to the latest version within the app itself. LEGACY BARCODE - How to update your Windows Mobile Scanner to the latest version of Finale Data Collector software

NOTE: If you have an older release of the Android version of the app on your scanner you may see a menu option in the Finale app to Update the software. DO NOT USE THIS. It will not work.
