Formulas

Formulas enable customization of calculations performed in Finale. Formulas are used in several parts of the product, including calculating prices and custom formatting in page templates for documents. This section documents the overall way formulas work. In the context of a particular system within Finale, additional functions and variables will be defined to provide inputs to the formula and define how the result of the formula is used in the system.
